Therapeutic Riding Program

"Our son has benefited so much from therapeutic riding at Laughing Buck Farm.  It has been a ray of positive light during this pandemic for him. The instructor he works with is amazing, receptive and really "gets him". He comes home refreshed and energized from his time at the farm. We can also see our son making strides in his social-emotional development, physical awareness and empathy as a result of his work at LB. There is no question in our minds that joining the horses and instructors at Laughing Buck is one of the best decisions we could have made for our son."
- Nehalem

The lessons Have helped my son to improve his focus and balance while enjoying the activity. His connection with the horse has improved his confidence and self awareness. It’s incredible how much joy these creatures can give to humans. On the other side,  watching the class surrounded by the farm vibe while sitting under a tree is the highlight of my week.

The adaptive riding program at Laughing Buck Farm delivers equine assisted activities (EAA) and equine facilitated learning (EFL) to individuals with cognitive, physical and social/emotional special needs. Our programs not only help our riders improve physical strength and balance, but also leverage the benefits of the human/horse bond to help people learn respect, build confidence, improve self-esteem, and learn the art of teamwork.

Participants will experience horsemanship lessons with PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) International certified instructors who are also PATH Equine Specialists in Mental Health and Learning. Along with instructors, students will work with equines in a safe, secured and private setting.
Private or group (two or more participants) lessons are available and are designed to meet every participant's needs.
